Our team arrived safely at O’Hare on Friday afternoon after a quick, but fruitful trip to the Balkans.
On Thursday, we started the day overlooking the city of Tetovo as we prayed for the Lord to build His church in Macedonia. We continued on to Gostivar, where we met with another team of workers who were expending their lives for the sake of the gospel. Macedonia is a dark place in great need of the hope of Jesus.
We left Macedonia and returned to Tirana, Albania for one last meal together before an early morning flight on Friday.
Throughout the week, we saw many connections among God’s workers in the Balkans. Hearing about shared history and relationships among the people we met with during the week provided a good reminder of God’s sovereignty even in areas that seem unconnected. Please continue to pray for the workers we met and that God would continue to build His church in the Balkans.
Thank you for praying!
Claire for the Team
Claire,
Thanks for this, and for going! I had only recently begun to pray for some of those cities you named, by name, so you made my map light up. And an old Bible friend, the country of Macedonia! Paul: “I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year. And your zeal has stirred up most of them.”
2 Corinthians 9:2 The Bible comes alive, and we pray that these would come alive fresh.
