A team of six people will soon be making a prayer foray into the Balkan Region of Europe from June 23-30, 2017. Our plan includes several stops along the Via Egnatia to inquire of the Lord regarding his placement of workers, and his provision of gospel-proclaiming churches along this ancient road. Constructed to connect Rome to Istanbul and points east, the Via originally brought the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ancient biblical city of Philippi and the surrounding area by the apostle Paul. Few churches remain today in this largely Muslim dominated corridor. We will also be in Durres, Albania, where we will encourage the believers in the newly established church plant there with Kujtim and Lauren Rushiti, and pray the Lord will appoint more believers and workers to their team.
At this critical time in history, as The Orchard grows it’s partnerships in the Balkans with gospel-proclaiming missionaries and church planters, there are ever-increasing requests from our national partners for prayer and fellow workers. We are compelled to respond and ask for your prayer as we go.
