To Our Friends, Family and Supporters:
Thank you to all for your prayers and emails especially regarding Linda’s health. She had a rough case of the flu and lost 12 lbs. in 10 days. She will be on antibiotics until Monday but is doing well now. We are thankful for an excellent doctor at First Med Clinic in Budapest.
This Thursday and Friday we hope to continue our teaching and English Club ministry with Shaun and Sondi Carlaw in Tapolca, Hungary. Linda will have the Pre-Intermediate Level with lots of grammar, and I will have a conversational group. Pray we can make good connections that lead to further conversations and meetings on Fridays and possibly Saturdays.
Tomorrow I begin my teaching and study time with Dezso. Dezso is a young man around 35 years old and has responsibilities with KEGy Church and the Hungarian Evangelical Church. (He also served at the English Camp last summer in Tapolca/Hegyesd.) We are studying the Book of Nehemiah using the text Be Determined by Warren Wiersbe. There is a lot of opposition to the Gospel and the work of the church in Hungary. Our goal is to see how we can stand firm in the face of opposition in the work God calls us to do. Your prayers are so important as we begin this journey together. The church here is woefully short of leaders that can make a difference for the work of the church and the proclamation of the Gospel. Pray that this study of God’s Word will encourage Dezso in the role God is calling him to play here in Hungary.
