Team to Greece – April 24-30

The Orchard has been developing a missional relationship with Hellenic Ministries to see the gospel spread quickly along the Via Egnatia, an ancient road nearly 700 miles long stretching from Durrës, Albania through Thessaloniki, Greece to Istanbul, Turkey. Workers are being sent to this part of the world in increasing numbers responding to requests from local partners. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

Anastasi Team pic - croppedFrom April 24-30, 2019, a team from The Orchard will be part of Hellenic Ministries’ Anastasi Celebration in Thessaloniki, Greece. This conference will be a joyful celebration of Christ’s resurrection over Orthodox Easter. The team will interact with gospel ministry workers and leaders from the greater Balkan region to develop partnerships for the advance of the gospel through prayer and church planting. Joining some of The Orchard’s supported partners from Albania and Macedonia, they will be distributing Bibles to individual households in Thessaloniki and sharing the message of Christ.

1) Pray the Anastasi conference will lead to new relationships and motivation for the global Christian community to better reach unbelievers with the gospel of Christ.

2) Pray that church planters would be encouraged to persevere in living out and sharing the gospel.

3) Pray the conversations with unbelievers will honor Christ and draw others to him.
