Praying and Praising in Durrës – Phyllis

Praising God for His Provision!

Our day began in prayer this morning at the Durres church followed by time at the university passing out invitations for tonight’s event. A group of us did a prayer walk around the campus. (See the photo of the mighty men on the bench.)

Tonight we participated in an outreach event the Durres church held for university students.  A giant “Praise God!” here as over 30 students came and participated! Albano lead the evening and the students heard the Gospel and testimonies by Mike, Colin, and Stacy. The students also enjoyed games, food, dancing, and a great time was had by all.  There was a wonderful energy that filled the room and we were treated to traditional Albanian dances. (Some of the team were even brave enough to join them!)

Many friends were made this evening and we ended the night with lots of hugs. Some of the comments heard from the students throughout the evening: “I feel so welcomed,” “I never had so much fun before,” “We feel so loved,” “We are coming to join you at the church tomorrow. ”

Thank you for all who have been praying for these events.  We are praising God for this successful evening.

Blessings,

Phyllis

  1. Phyllis, this is SO wonderful. I was so glad to hear about Albano. Kujtim told us at their Arlington mission report about Albano‘s growing involvement. Does he help out at Sukth?
The only other thing I can say is: I would like to go to Duress. But not to dance, thank you. 😂

  2. Excited for answered prayer and all the positive responses from students! Everyone must be so encouraged!

  3. Thanks so much for the update.  We women were praying yesterday 9 AM Wednesday,  for all your activities there in Durres,

especially the church and university students. We'll keep it up!  Joyce Tucker, Itasca campus
