Seeds are Being Sown Daily – Brad

Third day of Fall camp:  It was zero degrees Celcius at dawn.  We get the weather report each day from Sam and Emilee after they return from their early morning run.  It looked like clear skies and sunshine, so we planned for the hike up the old volcano after lunch. Dillon spoke this morning about Jesus as the bread of life in chapel time and the Hungarian language discussion groups afterwards were some of the best yet.

img_4907Our team prays for the students and leaders during discussion time and then we set up for lunch.  One man, named Jozska (Joey), took us to his house and gave us some mushrooms he’d gathered from the forest.  He’s 77 years old and his retirement income is $185/mo. He catches fish from the lake for he and his wife to eat.

Once atop the volcano this afternoon we heard testimony from Dezsö and Emilee. Seeds are being sown daily. We ended a long day with a pizza party in Tapolca where Dillon shared his testimony with a good number of teens who came out.  Memories are being made with other believers as we participate in village life using every occasion to encourage the spread of the Gospel.

  1. Praying for a harvest and a core of believers willing to commit to a church plant.
    Blessings to all!!

  2. Brad, thank you for reminding us that when we sow the good “seeds” we’re doing the work of the kingdom. It’s so encouraging that you all are DAILY putting the message of Christ’s gospel into the hearts of the precious people there in Topolca!

    Psalm 126:5-6

Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!

He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

  3. What an encouragement to read about what God is doing ! Thanks for the posts and the pictures, you are being accompanied by prayer. “Thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere” 2 Cor 2:14
