We began our day in Tirana, Albania after catching a red eye flight from Belgrade, Serbia the prior night. We were all draggin’ our wagons but perked up after a great breakfast at Hotel Jurgen next to the Tirana airport.
After having a morning prayer session, our Albanian friends Arvid and Bessie drove us to our new accommodations in Durres, Albania. We checked in to Hotel Nais and our leader, Brad Mullet, gave us a quick walking tour of Durres.
Some of the sites we visited were the local mosque, the ancient ruins of the amphitheater and the city wall which was built to protect the city. We also checked out a building that is a prospective Christian youth center. We prayed that the Lord will help our Albanian friends realize their dream of purchasing the center to further the gospel in Durres.

After having pizza and sharing testimonies at the local pizza shop, we stopped by The Albanian College of Durres, which is a state of the art international school for Albanian students. It was one of the nicest schools we have ever seen and we hope to get a tour tomorrow morning!
Following our jaunt at the international school we headed to Durres’ version of Navy
Pier. We walked and prayed along the Adriatic Sea while taking in the carnival-like atmosphere along the coast.

We capped the night off with gelato and an evening prayer session praying for some of the people we’ve met on the trip, members of The Orchard and the Hungary teams, and some personal prayer requests. God has been good to us on this trip and we continue to be blessed by Him. We and the team look forward to a good night’s rest and what tomorrow has in store for us.
God Bless from Durres,
Dave and Gina Udchik
Can so picture you there! So many prayers answered since we were there just one year ago. Praying for you as you pray for Durres!
