The Koehnke’s arrived for a week in Tapolca to experience first hand the work the Himpelmann’s are doing and to join them in prayer for a church to be planted there. Carla and Denise submitted this report:
Getting around in Tapolca is easy–just use your feet! Making the most of the national Hungarian holiday weekend, we visited some of the popular places near Tapolca including an outdoor café in Balatonfured.
We attended a school program which turned out to be a presentation about the Hungarian revolution in 1848. Even without understanding the language, we could sense the tragedy and pain portrayed by the students. It gave us opportunity to pray for them and in particular for one young man who caught our eyes. We don’t know when or how, but believe God will use this fellow to influence his people for good.
On Sunday morning, we were blessed to meet with a small group of Hungarians for worship and the Word. On Thursday, we will all travel together back to Budapest to attend the Hungary Summit, then fly on to meet Kujtim in Albania on Saturday!
Thanks for praying!
