Easter in Hungary – Update from Bob and Nancy

The KEGy Church in Budapest asked us to convey these special Easter greetings to The Orchard church family:

We are grateful for you praying for us this past weekend.  Reflecting on Sunday, it was evident to us our Lord led us each step of the way.  It was a pleasure to share God’s Word alongside of Andras, my Hungarian translator, who made the message clear for the KEGy congregation.Bob

In addition, we covet your prayers for three young men that God brought to the KEGy service Sunday evening for the first time.  (1) David who is a Hungarian university student.  After the service, he asked if I had any notes he could have to further understand the message.  (2) Asuzu is a young man from Nigeria.  He is in Budapest as a refugee.  His English is good and he carries a Gideon New Testament.  Pray that the efforts to network Asuzu will be successful, especially with this Sunday being Easter.  (3) The same request is for Ajnail.  He is from Afghanistan who is also a refugee in Budapest.  He and Asuzu came together.  Unlike Asuzu, Ajnail is unfamiliar with the Christian message.  Pray for our efforts to connect these three men with believers here in the Budapest area.

In returning to Tapolca, we appreciate your prayers for wisdom as we interact with the young people as well as adults in the English studies regarding the significance of Easter this week.

Trust the days of this week will be encouraging and meaningful as you reflect on the work of the wondrous cross and rejoice in our Risen LORD!

  3. Dear Bob and Nancy,
Just got caught up with your April posts and have prayed for the requests you shared above. Praise God your illness didn’t slow you down too much, and ministry efforts have been going so well.

Thanks for your faithful service – have a joyful Easter!
