Hey everyone!!!
I’m here to give you an updated report on our EVERY MOVE. On Monday, I woke up at 6:30 AM. I slowly lifted myself off my mattress and the sun immediately hit my eyes. NO I’M KIDDING, no one in Porto Astro gets up at 6:30 AM! Anyway, it was our last full day of camp, and The Orchard team made the most of our last hours here in Porto Astro. While most of us were trying to give our 1000000%, we are very, VERY exhausted!
This week’s leadership camp has really tested our ability to establish close connections with those who come from a completely different culture than us. However, it has been interesting to see what seeds God will plant and where! Last night, the fans inside our cabins NEVER turned on so I decided to sit on the porch and read a book. I walked out and found Lila, an Egyptian camper, sitting alone. I asked to sit next to her and out of nowhere we proceeded to have a 4 hour conversation about our lives! We talked about our families, friendships, and we even talked about our different religious backgrounds. She started asking genuine questions about Christianity. I found this super encouraging so I want to ask you all to pray for the kids in our camp this week, that they find Jesus and they continue to be curious!
We are headed home Thursday and I can’t wait to see everyone. Maybe in the future we will see what God plans for these kids!
Thank you so much for reading our blogs and continuing to pray for this team and the people around us!
Isabelle
Oh, dear Isabelle given to cute exaggerations!
Your work has accomplished exactly what we have been praying for, your discussion with Lila!
Your labor has not been in vain in the Lord!
Thanks.
