The Work Continues Together – Kristie

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity. Psalm 133:1

What an amazing time with our brothers and sisters in Durres! The past two days we walked around the city to hand out invitations to the Durres Evangelical Church’s events which include an English class. The Albanian people, we found, enjoy taking the time to talk with the Americans. Several of us stayed back at the church and handed out invitations to students as they walked by the church. Several boys came by after school to play ping pong! For the youth event tonight, there were probably about 20 boys and adult men who went to play football (soccer) at the nearby football fields. It was a great time of play and outreach to the community.

20170919_220914There were a group of women from the Durres church and women from the children’s school that met for the Women’s Ministry night. We had a time of fellowship, and then met in the sanctuary. We shared our stories how we each came to know Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. A few of us were quite vulnerable with the information that was shared. Thank you Rudi and Manjola for doing the translation for us! We continued our time of sharing over a meal.

Please pray that people will sign up for the English class and that the events planned for this week and in the future are well attended. Also pray for people to visit both the Durres and Sukth churches and that the gospel continues to grow in the Balkan region.

  1. What a joy to read about the experiences of the team. Please say hello from Sarma and I to all those you meet who know us. So great to see all the smiling faces of the dear brothers and sisters in Christ that I (Pete) had the opportunity to meet.
