Proclaiming the Gospel this Summer

3 girls headshotA desire to make an eternal difference in the lives of Hungarian teens has motivated three recently graduated high school seniors to spend their summer away from the familiar surroundings of home, family and friends. On Tuesday, June 14, Kamren, Krista and Holly will travel to Tapolca, Hungary beginning seven weeks of ministry joined by their Hungarian friend, cultural guide and interpreter, Niki.

These ladies are Hungary “alumni” who spent two weeks serving with the high school English Camp in Tapolca last summer. They saw first hand the need for a gospel proclaiming church to shepherd those students who attended the camp and went away still anxious to learn more about the Bible and following Christ. These ladies have done their best to keep in touch and encourage their Hungarian friends  via social media and look forward to meeting them again soon.

Their primary goals while serving alongside our missionary partners Shaun and Sonde, will be to meet for discipleship with their peers who are new believers, conduct evangelistic Bible studies with high school students, and fervently pray for the gospel to be proclaimed and a church established in Tapolca.

Eleven more high school students and leaders will join these three on July 23 to conduct this year’s English Camp in Tapolca. The English Camp in Budapest will begin on July 18 with our high school team of 34 students and leaders departing Chicago on July 15.

Please pray for the gospel to be proclaimed boldly and clearly in Hungary this summer and received with great joy !

Georgette
